BRUCE CROSSING, Michigan – Georgia A. Hemming, aged 99, of Bruce Crossing passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023. She was born on April 4, 1924.
She is survived by her son Ward (Rizalina); daughter, Becky; grandchildren, Shelley (Ed), Kent (Sierra), Koren (Derek), Ronald (Carlota), Richard (Laura), and Mariza (Roberto); 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents predeceased her; husband, Vernon; as well as three sisters, two brothers, two sons-in-law, one grandson, one great-granddaughter and numerous other relatives.
Her life revolved around her faith in God, her desire to share it with everyone, and her love for family and friends. She loved gardening, canning, board games and Yahtzee.
A Georgia service is held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing. The service will be led by Pastor Tim Johnson on Monday, August 21 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Bruce Crossing will be followed by a light church lunch.
