Fayetteville, Georgia man arrested for first-degree murder

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (KNWA/KFTA) — A Fayetteville man has been arrested in Georgia for the first-degree murder of a Fayetteville woman.

According to a Facebook post by the Fayetteville Police Department, around 10:21 am on July 29, Fayetteville police responded to a home for a welfare check

According to police, family members of 32-year-old Brenda Madriles said they had not been seen or heard from since July 27.

According to the police, the house belonged to Adrian Rodriguez, an acquaintance from Madriles.

According to the police, officers obtained a search warrant for the house and found Madriles’ body.

The post said an investigation by Fayetteville detectives, Springdale police and Georgia law enforcement led to Bibb County, Georgia, where Rodriguez was found and arrested.

According to police, Madriles’ body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the cause of death. Rodriguez is awaiting extradition to Arkansas.

According to the post, this is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
