ATLANTA – Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been subpoenaed to testify in a colleague's divorce case, according to a court filing. The development could shed light on allegations that Willis and the colleague had an inappropriate romantic relationship while prosecuting former President Donald Trump and others.
In a court filing reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, a trial attorney said he showed up at Willis' Atlanta office Monday morning with a subpoena demanding her testimony in the Cobb County divorce case from Nathan Wade, a lawyer she had hired as a special prosecutor Trump and his wife Joycelyn Wade. The defense attorney said he left the subpoena filed by Joycelyn Wade's attorney with Willis' assistant.
