Enrollment for Georgia Connections Academy, an online tutoring-free public school, is now available for students in grades 5 through 12 across Georgia.
Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the school offers a high quality educational experience that helps students acquire the skills, confidence, and ingenuity they need to thrive in a changing world.
Georgia Connections Academy is an online accredited public school that combines the continuous support of certified teachers with virtual classroom experience, flexible study schedules, and a highly engaging curriculum tailored to students’ specific academic and socio-emotional needs.
Parents or other caregivers also act as “learning coaches” to help teachers provide the support and structure students need by setting a daily schedule and ensuring that student attendance and work are completed.

Georgia Connections Academy students can continue to participate in many of the activities offered in a public school. The school has a STEAM academy and offers Gifted and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, dual enrollment, a variety of elective courses, extra-curricular activities, and flexible planning to help students take their own unique educational journey into their own hands.
You are also part of a larger community of fellow students and educators who provide a welcoming, distraction-free learning environment. The school’s online learning portal also has plenty of tools and resources to make planning lessons for any subject, to juggling a family calendar of school activities, easy.
Georgia Connections Academy serves more than 5,000 students, and parents have expressed satisfaction with their school. According to the 2020 Parent Satisfaction Survey, 90% of parents agree that their children are happy with the program and 93% of parents agree that the curriculum is high quality.
Note that the Georgia Connections Academy has an open application period from February 3 through March 5, 2021. This is only the first part of the registration process. You cannot complete the rest of the process until after March 5, 2021.
Enrollment is limited – According to state law, the school has an enrollment limit of 5,250 students. If the number of applications accepted exceeds the limit, we will use a lottery-style drawing to select students for enrollment. This means that after the open enrollment deadline, your students may still be subject to a lottery. If a lottery is required, it will take place on March 30, 2021.
