Cobb Dunkin ‘areas to boost funds for the Particular Olympics Georgia torch relay

Cobb County’s Dunkin locations, including restaurants in Acworth, Marietta, Powder Springs and Smyrna, will be participating in a fundraiser for the Georgia Special Olympics and Law Enforcement Torch Run in partnership with local law enforcement agencies.

The funds raised will benefit programs and events for Special Olympics Georgia athletes

ATLANTA, GA (June 2, 2021) – In celebration of National Donut Day on Friday June 4th, Dunkin ‘of Georgia is partnering with Georgia law enforcement to support Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR). From 5:00 am to 11:00 am, SOGA volunteers will be escorted by local officials to greet guests and raise funds to support SOGA athletes at participating Dunkin locations across the state.

Guests visiting their local Dunkin ‘on Friday June 4th to support SOGA are also invited to attend Dunkins National Donut Day celebration, which includes a free classic donut of their choice with every drink purchase, while supplies last enough. Offer valid all day June 4th at participating Dunkin ‘restaurants across the country.

“Our Dunkin ‘franchisees take great pride in giving back to the communities they serve,” said Katie Gaston, Dunkin’ Field Marketing Manager. “It’s an absolute honor to work with our local law enforcement and Special Olympics Georgia to support their incredible athletes!”

Over the past six years, Dunkin guests have helped raise $ 411,479 in donations to improve the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities and help them achieve new dreams through year-round exercise training and athletic competitions realize.

LETR is the largest annual fundraising event to benefit SOGA and features more than 1,000 law enforcement officers from over 100 agencies participating in a two-week 1,000-mile torch relay to spread the SOGA “Flame of Hope” across the state.
