The first defamation lawsuit against OpenAI LLC over false output of its wildly popular AI chatbot ChatGPT has been remanded to the Georgia state court where it was first filed.
U.S. District Judge Michael Brown of the Northern District of Georgia on Wednesday sent the first case of its kind back to Gwinnett County Superior Court after OpenAI LLC said it would no longer disclose its corporate membership structure.
OpenAI withdrew its decision to keep the case in federal court in a filing earlier this month, saying the company was “unable to provide further information beyond its previous filings”…
