The new law will improve access to health services in rural and underserved communities across Georgia
Senator Ossoff successfully worked across the aisle to help more Georgia families access lifesaving care
Washington, D.C – A bipartisan bill championed by US Senator Jon Ossoff was signed into law this week to help bring more mobile health clinics and rural health centers to Georgia.
Following Senator Ossoff’s successful work, the bipartisan MOBILE Health Care Act will bring more mobile health clinics and rural health centers to Georgia to help families access essential health services and increase access to lifesaving care in rural and underserved communities.
The bipartisan bill creates flexibility for community health centers to set up mobile health options in communities across the state.
“We have worked together as Democrats and Republicans to create more opportunities for Georgia families to access health care through mobile clinics that will soon be available in your community.” Senator Ossoff said.
Senator Ossoff has worked tirelessly to make health care more accessible for all Georgia families and continues to advocate for communities with limited access to health care.
Earlier this year, Senator Ossoff secured $300 million to modernize the health care systems at Grady Health and Augusta University to expand access to health care for medically underserved families across the state of Georgia.
