TALLAHASSEE, Florida (seminoles.com) – No. 16/16 The state of Florida, which has won each of its last five ACC games by an average of 18.6 points, travels to Georgia Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 12:00 am at the McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta. The game is the second of the season between the Seminoles and the Yellow Jackets following a 74-61 Florida State victory in Tallahassee on December 15, 2020. Florida State arrives in Atlanta after having won five ACC games in a row over the state of NC (Jan 13, 105-73), North Carolina (Jan 16, 82-75), Louisville (Jan 18, 78-65), Clemson (Jan 23, 80-61) and Miami (Jan 27, 78-65) January 81-59). The Seminoles have been 5-0 as of the 2021 calendar and will complete an unbeaten month of January for the first time since the 1988/89 season when they won each of their eight games in the first month of the year. After Saturday’s game at Georgia Tech, the Seminoles will play at Boston College on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 9:00 p.m. for the first of two regular seasonal meetings between the teams.

SEMINOLS PLAYING IN PITTSBURGH IN THE RESCHEDULED GAME ON FEBRUARY 6TH
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced that the men’s basketball game in Pittsburgh, Florida, originally scheduled for January 9, has been postponed and will be played at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, and will be broadcast on RSN.

FLORIDA STATE IN NATIONAL RANKING LISTS
The state of Florida ranks 16th on Georgia Tech this week’s Associated Press poll and 16th on the USA Today Coaches poll on Saturday. The Seminoles were ranked 15th in both main polls in the week of December 14, 2020.

FLORIDA STATE SINCE THE START OF THE 2018-19 SEASON
The state of Florida is 65-15 (0.813 percent profit) since the start of the 2018-19 season. The Seminoles finished 29-19 in 2018-19, 26-5 in 2019-20, and are 10-2 this season. Since defeating Clemson on December 8, 2019, the Seminoles have won more than 87 percent of their games with a record 27: 4 (0.871 percent win).

FLORIDA STATE RELATED TO THE BEGINNING OF THE 2018-19 SEASON

He is one of five players at the ACC (Barnes; Justin Champagnie, Pittsburgh; Sam Hauser, Virginia; Matthew Hurt, Duke, Carlik Jones, Louisville) and one of only four newcomers from across the nation (Barnes; Cade Cunningham, Oklahoma State) Evan Mobley, USC, Jalen Suggs, Gonzaga) in the Olson Award Midseason List. Barnes is also a nominee for the Naismith and Wooden Awards for National Player of the Year and the Bob Cousy Award for Best Point Guard in the Nation.

WALKER ONLY 46 POINTS OUT OF 1,000 FOR HIS CAREER
Senior MJ Walker, who has double-digitized in 10 of Florida State’s first 12 games, will face Georgia Tech on Saturday with 954 career points and it only takes 46 to become the 47th member of the Seminoles’ 1000-point club. Walker has scored 19 of his 954 career points against Georgia Tech in four career games against the Yellow Jackets.
