DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Police charged two men after a brawl outside the North Georgia Fairgrounds Saturday night.
They were called to shots fired in the parking lot on 500 Legion Drive.
Nobody was actually hit by the shots.
Some officers were already over an illegal parking lot at the fair when they heard the gunshots.
The first officer found a group of people arguing.
22 year old Dylan Hall ran in the group.
They hunted, but one woman in the group knocked down one of the officers.
She started fighting the off duty state trooper, and then her cousin started beating him from behind.
The cousin, 18-year-old Gabriel Adams from Cohutta, was arrested.
After a long chase, the officers caught Hall.
When everything was sorted out, the police said the fight between an ex-boyfriend and girlfriend started and then family members got involved.
They say Gabriel Adams admitted firing the shots.
He was charged with aggravated assault, reckless behavior, assault, possession of a firearm while committing a crime, and willful obstruction of police officers.
Dylan Hall has been charged with willful obstruction of police officers and parole violation.
