On Wednesday, Goodwill of North Georgia announced the formation of its new board of directors for fiscal year 2022. According to a press release, there are five Community leaders were appointed to help organize the organization Commitment to personnel development and economic mobility
The board members and officials are listed below:
C. David Moody, Jr., owner of CD Moody Construction Company Inc.
C. David Moody is the founder and owner of one of America’s largest African-American owned construction companies. His company has completed more than 200 commercial projects valued at more than $ 3 billion, including Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport, and more. Moody’s Company has appeared in Black Enterprise magazine’s top 100 list of black-owned industrial companies for the past two decades. With a keen sense of community service, Moody has funded scholarships at selected universities and awarded nearly 100 individual scholarships. In addition to being a thriving entrepreneur, Moody is the author of Fighting through the Fear, a photographer, motivator, and inspirational speaker who will bring many strengths to the board.

I learned that Goodwill is doing so much more than I ever realized to help people in need. I am excited to support Goodwill in continuing the mission of service to others. “
Erica Qualls-Battey, Atlanta Area General Manager, Marriott International
Erica Qualls-Battey oversees the Atlanta marketplace for Marriott International and is general manager of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. She is a recognized hospitality leader and has held key positions with Atlanta Marriott International in a variety of disciplines including finance, human resources and hotel operations. As an active member of the community nationally and locally, she has earned top honors and awards including Most Admired CEO, YWCA Woman of the Year, 100 Most Influential Atlanta, and many more.
“It’s an honor to be on the board of Goodwill North Georgia,” said Erica Qualls-Battey. “At Goodwill, we hire people to work that creates independence by providing employees with an income to support their families. It also promotes personal performance. Andre Dickens, TechBridge Chief Development Officer & Atlanta City Council member
Andre Dickens brings extensive knowledge as a city councilor, businessman and non-profit manager. Dickens is a proud product of the Atlanta Public School System. He has led many organizations including City Living Home Furnishings, which he founded at the age of 28 and grew into a multi-million dollar retail company. Dickens is a vocal leader who advocates things like affordable housing, education, and people development.
“I am honored to have so many talented and dedicated citizens on the Goodwill of North Georgia board of directors,” said Andre Dickens. “I feel that the vision of Goodwill is in line with my personal desire that everyone has the opportunity to be useful in society and have an excellent quality of life.”
Carol Waddy, Director of Community Engagement & Corporate Social Responsibility at Chick-fil-A
Carol Waddy is responsible for the strategic leadership of the roadmap for community engagement at Chick-fil-A, Inc. Waddy is responsible for Chick-fil-A’s local initiatives, civic engagement, corporate volunteering, and partnerships focused on community and economic development. With 20 years of experience in various management positions, she was recognized as the 2019 Atlanta Magazine Woman Making a Difference and United Way Woman of Impact. Waddy is a passionate volunteer and advocate of many philanthropic endeavors.
“Improving economic mobility is the great challenge of our time,” says Carol Waddy. “The North Georgia benevolence changes life every day by providing the opportunity to be successful through training and hard work. I believe in the mission and impact of this organization. I am enthusiastic about this critical work and I am honored to serve our community in this capacity. ”
Natosha Reid Rice, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at Habitat for Humanity International
In addition to being a senior nonprofit leader, Natosha Reid Rice is an ordained minister, inspirational speaker, and advocate. She founded Fresh Rain for Life Ministries, a ministry that provides a “haven for women in the midst of life” through services, retreats, Bible studies, workshops, and missions. By combining her legal practice and service, she has provided expertise on several faith-based development projects across the country. She has also trained over 6,000 South Africans for their first democratic election, helped build a nonprofit to increase the enrollment of minority students in top MBA programs, and taught as an associate professor at St. Louis University Law School an interdisciplinary course on urban development.
“I am excited to join the Board of Directors of Goodwill of North Georgia and to work with a team that is committed to making people work and equipping them with skills that will ultimately build stronger households, strengthen neighborhoods, and lead to sustainable and thriving communities across North Georgia contribute.”
In addition, Keith Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill of North Georgia, announced the appointment of Goodwill of North Georgia’s board members for fiscal year 2022. The board members include:
