In response to this crime, the General Assembly in Georgia took fast measures and passed the legislation, in which the local law enforcement authorities have to capture criminal illegal immigrants until they can be handed over to the federal authorities. This legislation sent a clear message: Georgia will not serve as a sanctuary for illegal immigrants.

This is not the first time that Georgia takes a permanent attitude against illegal immigration. As early as 2011, the state passed one of the most comprehensive immigration laws at the state level of the country, which made it more difficult to illegally hire individuals without proper documentation. The law wanted to tackle the problem at the local level in which illegal immigration had the most important effects.

However, action at the state level can only go so far. The problem of illegal immigration is a federal problem and no state can solve it itself.

Unfortunately, this crisis escalated exponentially under the administration of bidges.

The United States experienced one of the highest percentages of illegal immigration in our history over a period of four years, with more than 60% of the new immigrants illegally entering the country in Biden's term. The border chaos not only led to a dramatic increase in border crossings, but also created a massive burden on state and local resources from law enforcement authorities to health care to education.

The congress recently passed the Riley Act sheet, which requires a stronger partnership between the state and federal authorities to address illegal immigration and its consequences. This new law, which was signed by President Donald Trump in his new term of office, is a suitable tribute to Riley's memory. Her tragic death had long overdue federal measures to combat illegal immigration and to protect all Americans.

Riley's story is reminiscent of the painful human costs of the bidges immigration crisis, but also underlines the need for a sensible reform.

Thanks to the leadership of Trump, Georgia and other states finally have a federal partner who is seriously over the protection of our border and the enforcement of our immigration laws.

The failures of the bidges administration to stop the historical flood of immigration did not come from mere incompetence. Biden's ruthless rhetoric During the 2020 campaign, the world sent a signal that America would become a welcome mat for illegal immigration when he took office.

It was a campaign promise that he had definitely held.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris avoided going to the actual border. On a rare opportunity when the Americans heard the bidges administration about illegal immigration, it should condemn common sense such as those in Texas to build border fences.

That changes now.

Trump was directly with the American people on the campaign path. He promised to arrest illegal immigrants and send them home, and prioritized the deportation of criminals and those who threatened national security.

The president's task is to enforce laws in the books – and that is exactly what happens today.

All over the country and here in Metro Atlanta, criminals that are illegally in our country are taken into custody and removed from our streets. As a former prosecutor, I know that the Americans are now safer than three weeks ago.

The transparency of these federal operations fulfills the right of the Americans to know what their government is doing, but the width also sends a clear signal at home and abroad: do not come to the United States illegally, or will have serious consequences.

The goal is not endless raids; It should end the need for raids by restoring the greatest treasure of our nation – the rule of law.

Each generation of Americans has welcomed waves of immigrants who legally came to our country in search of a better future. The United States still offer this promise, but after Trump's leadership we will do this into terms and schedules that adhere to our properly adopt laws.
